On February 9 the symposium “Textil Innovativ -Automotive - Sport - Fashion” will be held in the Fürth Town Hall (Stadthalle Fürth) near Nuremberg. The event will cover topics such as new research in functional and technical textiles, innovative materials for sport and outdoor wear, the latest concepts in clothing physiology and the integration of additional functions into material.

Fraunhofer IZM will be presenting its latest innovations in electronics integrated into textiles at the event’s trade show. Highlights include a chic bicycle jacket equipped front and back with LEDs, a textile monitor designed using a cutting-edge interconnection technique and an alarm made of fabric for detecting building break-ins.
