IZM researcher Alireza Rezaei scooped up the PCB Design Award at the 22nd FED (German Association for Electronic Design) congress last month. It was the second time that Alireza Rezaei’s work was singled out by the FED. In 2012, he made it though to the nominations for the award’s final selection round. This year, he outshone the competition in the category 3D/Build Space The award is also recognition of the cutting-edge research and development by Rezaei’s colleagues in the Fraunhofer IZM’“Sensor Nodes & Embedded Microsystems” (SNEM) research group.

Held in Bamberg, September 18-20, the congress explored the topic “Interfaces – opportunities for technological and social progress”. The FED congress is a key event in the German-speaking electronics industry and is attended by experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
