EMC in Power Electronic Systems

Integrating power electronics systems into operating environments is often challenging, due to the interference they cause in other systems. They can generate noise in radios, television and handy transmission and impede the function of PCs and control devices.

Our department’s specialty is using simulations to predict interference and coupling paths. We then use this data to design and produce EMC filters as efficiently as possible, including for special applications in our state-of-the-art laboratory.

Projects: EMC in Power Electronic Systems

  • EMC for electric vehicles - listening to the radio - even in vehicles with electric engines
  • Low-loss filters - active compensation of power dissipation in AC-DC transformers
  • EMC-optimized power module - reducing interference levels with symmetry
