The Department of System Design & Integration develops methods and tools used for customized and technology-oriented design of electronic systems. We develop the scientific principles that form the basis for simulations of all types of electrical, magnetic, electromagnetic, as well as thermal and mechanical behaviour and coupling.
Using such system characterizations and considering the systems’ specific functionality and maximum capacity in the design process makes it possible to compare and synchronize different technologies during concept development, and to prepare parameter-based evaluations. Hence, even in the earliest phases of development, function, volume, reliability and cost can be analyzed according to technological parameters.
