This year, Fraunhofer IZM is once again showcasing its Power Line Monitoring System ASTROSE at CIGRE – but this time not in Paris, rather in Montreal, Canada! As the world’s leading congress for high-voltage technology, CIGRE provides IZM with the stage to present the latest developments of our system to an international expert audience.

At the accompanying technical exhibition, we will be at booth 322 demonstrating the current functionalities of ASTROSE. This year’s focus is especially on the further developments for dynamic line rating (DLR). The real-time data collected by the ASTROSE sensor nodes on the transmission lines are used to determine the actual capacity of the line at any given moment.
