Fraunhofer IZM is part of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany (FMD)

The Research Fab Microelectronics Germany, a collaboration between the Fraunhofer Microelectronics Group and the Leibniz Institutes FBH and IHP, is the central point of contact for all questions relating to micro- and nanoelectronic research and development in Germany and Europe. As a one-stop shop, the FMD combines the scientifically excellent technologies and system solutions of its 15 cooperating institutes from the Fraunhofer Society and the Leibniz Association into a comprehensive range of customer-specific services. Under the virtual umbrella of the FMD, Europe's largest alliance of this kind has been created, with more than 5,400 employees and a unique diversity of expertise and infrastructure.
