From September to November 2025, Fraunhofer IZM organized a compact online crash course series within the framework of the EU project INCREACE, focusing on the circular economy of plastics from waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The series consisted of eight weekly online seminars in which experts highlighted key aspects of the WEEE plastics value chain – ranging from the sourcing of high-quality plastic fractions and design strategies to policy frameworks, advanced recycling technologies, and systemic challenges.

The crash courses brought together professionals from research, industry, policy, and academia, offering practical insights, case studies, and in-depth discussions to promote resource efficiency and the sustainable use of recycled plastics in future applications.
