SESSION #2 of OUR EXPERT SESSION SERIES »GREEN ICT DEVELOPMENTS«. This session looks at the bigger range of electronic products everywhere except in the digital infrastructure. What can be done to make products more environmentally friendly – and how is this linked to becoming more competitive?

The electronica, the world's leading trade fair and conference for electronics, will take place from November 10-13, 2026 at the Trade Fair Center of Messe München. The trade fair offers a broad spectrum of exhibits from the world of electronics, ranging from automotives to electromechanics, electronics design, printed circuit boards, micro and nano systems and sensor technology, among others. The exhibition areas cover technologies, products and solutions for future-oriented developments such as smart homes or connected cars.

Fraunhofer IZM-ASSID, together with Fraunhofer ENAS and IPMS as part of the Research Fab Microelectronics Germany, will exhibit at this year's SEMICON Europa. With 33 exhibitors covering 288 m², the Silicon Saxony joint booth is the largest booth at the trade fair.

COMPAMED, the leading exhibition for medical technology manufacturers and developers, will again draw a crowd of technical buyers, R&D and manufacturing specialists, packaging, quality assurance, and qualification experts, and process engineers between 16 and 19 November.

Sustainable e-textiles, textile electronics, and new standards for connected textiles: At the E-Textiles Conference 2026, Fraunhofer IZM and TU Berlin will present the latest research findings and innovative technologies for the next generation of smart textiles.
