IZM Paper published in the Journal of Materials Chemistry A

Researchers at the Fraunhofer IZM have teamed up with the Technical University of Berlin and Helmholtz Institutes in Berlin and Ulm to publish a paper in the renowned Journal of Materials Chemistry A.

Their publication is a product of the EU-funded Alion project and addresses aspects of aluminum graphite batteries. It introduces fundamental new insights into the chemistry behind reversible anion intercalation and provides proof of anionic species accumulating on the graphite cathodes. The significance of the research is reflected in the high profile of its place of publication: the Journal of Materials Chemistry A is credited with an impact factor of 8.262, which indicates the great frequency of citations from the journal in other publications.
