The Berlin Center for Digital Transformation is the shared home of Berlin’s Fraunhofer Institutes for a plethora of research and development activities, ranging from information and communications technology, data processing, the realization of novel electronic systems to production technology and microelectronics.

Sixteen science journalists had a chance to experience what this means in practice at a special press conference hosted on May 25th at Fraunhofer IZM.

Alongside the world’s thinnest speaker or an intelligent posture-correcting vest brace, the many solutions on show included wiretapping-proof fiber optic cables and revolutionary 3D printing technologies.
