Automated US field measurements

Ultrasonic transducers, often in combination with their encapsulation, must meet performance criteria, like sensitivity, frequency response and directivity. To better quantify and analyze the performance of transducers and their encapsulation, the Technologies for Bioelectronics group focuses on methods for characterizing such criteria through automated ultrasound measurements. Various methods are available:

  • Ultrasound field measurments  for both single element and array transducers
  • Transducer directivity
  • Transducer sensitivity
  • Acoustic impedance
  • Acoustic attenuation
  • Power transmission through multilayer material

The best test strategy will ultimately depend on the specific device, so feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements in more detail.
