The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) honored Rolf Aschenbrenner, head of the  System Integration & Interconnection Technologies department at Fraunhofer IZM, with the  David Feldman Outstanding Contribution Award for his commitment to IEEE's Components, Packaging and Manufacturing Technology Society CPMT.

With the Award, IEEE recognizes Aschenbrenner's over 13 years of leadership, including serving as the Society's first President from Europe, and extending CPMT’s global technical reach through strategic collaborations and establishment of new conferences.

IEEE CPMT-president Ricky Lee presented Rolf Aschenbrenner with the David Feldman Award at the occasion of the CPMT Luncheon at this year's ECTC in Las Vegas.
