With increasing switching speed the internal EMC of circuits becomes more tricky to achieve. Measurement and control signals are disturbed by switching events and even the switches themselves show undesired switch on events. A proper concept how to partition the device, how to set up the grounding and how to identify and route the critical tracks is required. The course gives a first insight to the relevant parasitic properties, the interference mechanisms, the countermeasures on design level and the strategies to develop EMI filters.
