The handheld devices read information about the food from RFID labels commonly used in retail and rewrite the RFID label, for example, with the measurement data determined. The handheld unit is connected to laptops, PCs or the Internet via integrated wireless Bluetooth communication. The unit is operated via the clearly designed graphic interface of a touch screen. The device platform, designed according to ergonomic aspects, complies with the regulation on materials and objects in contact with food.
